i want to know,

i want to seek with all determination,

i want to patiently wait for the answer.

i want to feel this way; every second of every day,

i don’t want to go back.

i want to be obedient

so i can be free.

i want to love and be loved,

i want to radiate. 

i want to breathe deeply. 

i want to hunger and thirst after righteousness.

i want the faith of Enoch.

i want to know because

i want to change...

forever.

and time, and experience, 

and careful and ponderous and solemn thoughts 

can only find them out.  

thy mind, O man!....

must stretch as high as the utmost heavens, 

and search into and contemplate the darkest abyss,

and the broad expanse of eternity-thou must commune with God.”
