"I have dreamt in my life.......

i was standing at the bus stop today – waiting 

waiting and waiting 

usually there are other people waiting too

but I was all alone this morning 

and I knew I’d missed the bus 

but I didn’t want to miss the bus

I really, really didn’t want to miss the bus

so I looked and looked for any sign 

 and i listened over and over for the gears

 i did this so hard that I almost convinced myself - 

that a quiet little gray Subaru was a very large very loud bus 

i was in a hurry so I didn’t give it too much thought 

but I did think -

what else am I convincing myself of?
